MH financial problem..once again!

Referring to previous press released, stated that Malaysia Airlines reportedly loss for the last quarter of 2011.

I am actually shock with the news.. well, MH undergoing to the new management, improving new business plan and so on. The main reason stated from the MH management due to high fuel, demands and so on.. But how long you guys want to blame this situation. Well MH financial to RM 2.5 billion. That's is very huge amount, needed to recover for it. I'm hoping that AJ and his team, do their best to save MH from the difficult situation. Till, today MH followed their business plan.. which is very good progression, i'm know that the suspension of routes was very difficult everyone (pax, MH's staff) and always hoping that MH will fly again to these routes in the future.
Well,  forget to what happen to MH.. As aviation geek observer would like to suggest a few points and ideas and i'm hoping that my ideas will help MH to turn back its financial back to black ink.

  1. As I was mentioned in previous post, Malaysia Airlines management need to transfer its subsidiaries unit, Firefly's operation from Subang Airport (SZB) to KLIA (KUL). The main reason is, if MH maintains FY operation in SZB, there will be huge and huge problems to MH, because there will be indirect competition between parent - subsidiary company, causing MH loosing its customer. I would say that  most passenger prefer to fly FY since that the SZB hub is located nearer to the KL and its satellite areas.  It is easy for the MH management to concentrate KLIA as the main hub Malaysia Airlines.
  2. Or in other option, relocate the FY's hub to KLIA and then absorbed into new regional unit, MAS. FY operating the turbroprop airlines which help and easy for MAS to fly to low demand routes, early morning flights and so on.
  3. Analyzed again which routes are low or high load factor. For the low load factor routes, it is possible to reduce its flight or frequencies, change its suitable - timetable, what the highest season peak, right - size of aircraft, the competitors and its product service, fares, situation and so on. Same goes for the higher demand routes, fares, why the flight has the highest load factor, fares and so on. Find routes that have potential to attract and bring traveller. Information can be find from therouteshop and route Exchange.
  4. Malaysia Airlines need add business plan - seasonal flights. MH need to study which destinations that most traveller especially Malaysian, most visit and the highest season peak.
  5. Fleet Renewal, i don't think i have mention this, but, MH must speed up for the fleet renewal programme as soon as possible. Does anyone wants to buy MH's old Airbus 330 - 322 aircraft? please click here. Anyway, MH need to change new long haul aircrafts to replace B 777 - 200 ER as soon as possible. The "wait and see concept" never for this kind of situation..
  6. Liquor. Well some of passengers might not agree with me. Liquors such as wines, beer and so on, Some of the airlines thinks about Wines is something to do with luxury.. well it is actually not (If you notice in every airlines campaign, the wine or champagne is related to luxury and high class.. this perception is need to change. there are other things we can consider as luxury such as cabin seats, cuisines/catering and so on). So, I think MH should drop or not serve liquors in the all flights. Well, i would say that the price of liquors are very expensive, it will affect the budget of airlines. For your information, Malaysia is muslim country, MH should respect to national official religion by not to offering this liquor in all flights. I hope you will see the differences..
  7. Malaysia Airlines, need to improve its service again, i've read few comments from airlines.net and the skytrax surveys, I'm quite shocked that the motivation level's MH cabin crews were down. AJ, you need to motivate them.. I don't know what's your plan or scheme.. because you're the boss. Please bring back the smiles of Malaysia Airlines' cabin crews.. They are Malaysian ambassador to the world.. ALSO motivate to others STAFFS..
  8. AJ, please identify what were problems or unesscary things that causing loss.
  9. MH need to cut things and need to find other options, to lowering down the cost..
  10. Malaysia Airlines, by now need to identify which potential oneworld members needed to cooperate and formed agreement and links. Malaysia Airlines also need to 'discover' the strong exisitng relationship with Etihad Airways as well as KLM, Qantas, and benefit from that (2 ways not 1 way benefits).
:)

FOR YOU TF,
Please prove yourself as CEO (I don't know your position anyway) to help Malaysia Airlines to bring back MH to profitable airlines.. Good Luck..

Anyway Good Luck to AJ and his team.. I will wait and see results for the next MH 2nd financial statement..
