Great news for Malaysian Airlines fans and Mas (Enrich) and Finnair frequent flyer (Finnair plus).

As part joining Oneworld Alliance, Malaysia Airlines has announced new code - share agreement with Finnair. The codeshare will begin in 1st December 2012 and Finnair will be 24th code share for Malaysia
Airlines. Under this code share, Finnair will carry Malaysia Airlines code for selected cities such as Paris - Charles De Gulles, Frankfurt am Main, Amsterdam Schiphol and London Heathrow from Finnair's Hub in Helsinki Vantaa Airport. While, Malaysia Airlines also carrying Finnair from Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore to KLIA. Under this code share agreement, customers from both airlines enjoys connectivity and inflight services. Malaysia Airlines one of the five stars airlines and award winnig best cabin crew by Skytrax, has extensively widely connections around South East Asia destinations. Finnair is a member of Oneworld alliance and the best airlines in Northern Europe.  Moreover, the airlines offers widely connections in Scandinavian Region.Furthermore, Finnair's hub in Helsinki, has promoted to be the best and fastest connections airport in Europe and also located strategically between Asia and North America. The new agreement will also boost tourist to fly from both regions. Malaysia Airlines will join Oneworld alliance by 1st February next year.

To celebrate code - share of Malaysia Airlines and Finnair, Malaysia airlines is now offering all inclusive return fares from RM13363.00 for Business class trips.
................................................
I am hoping that, with this new code share agreement, either or both airlines will introduce direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Helsinki for improving connectivity [Previously, Finnair had introduced flights to Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok but terminated due to low yield]. Moreover,  more destinations or flights should be added especially to Australia and New Zealand.
