Airberlin Launched Two New Routes

Logo Air Berlin

airberlin launched two new seasonal routes in the last week, both northbound to the Nordic countries. From Berlin Tegel (TXL), the airline on 18 June began flying once-weekly to the Danish island of Bornholm (RNN) off the coast of Sweden in the Baltic Sea. The holiday island is served until 27 August with Q400 aircraft. This is the first time the island is connected with Berlin since Lufthansa operated from 1992 to 1996. On 19 June, airberlin launched two weekly flights between Hamburg (HAM) and Reykjavik (KEF) in Iceland. Flights are interchangeably operated with 737-700 and A319 aircraft, competing with Lufthansa’s and Icelandair’s also each twice-weekly flights. The service is scheduled to operate until 18 August.
