Darwin Airport is an airport serves air - transport system for Darwin. Darwin is the capital cities of Northern Australian teritory with population less than 1 millions. Currently, there are 11 carriers serves from the airport and most of flights fly witihin the territory and other parts of Australia and Air North is the largest operator. The only main problems of the airport are the airport has limited flights flying to International destinations in Asian. Moreover, the numbers of carriers are smaller as other Australian hubs in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and etc. Silk Air, Philippines Airlines, Jetstar and Indonesia Air Asia, Air North are airlines that operate to International airport such as to Singapore, Manila, Denpasar - Bali and Dili. In addition, Malaysia
Airlines is resuming four weekly to the city from 1 November 2013.Passengers travel to Darwin as end point of their trip rather than transit (since the population of Darwin is less, reflecting low demand).

Since the airport it located in Northern tips of Australian and near to Asian hubs/cities, it has potential becoming main hubs similar to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. In order to becoming an important hubs, the airport management need to :
- Upgrade the airport terminal by increasing the size of airport terminal airports, runway and etc in order to airport capable more flights, aircrafts and wide body jet
- The airport need to aggresively promote the airport as important TRANSIT hub for Australia from Asia. The airport management need to convince Qantas or Virgin Australia to transfer some of international flights (Asian hub) to Darwin airport.
- The airport need to offer airlines with some incentives (for new airlines and airlines more passengers and flights) especially from Asia. Also, lowering the landing and parking fees to enhance increasing passengers movement.
- Australian government need to bring industries to Darwin, such as Shipping, Education, Financial and etc, making the Darwin becoming important city.
- Darwin authorities need to promote Darwin as holiday destinations since the city has beautiful cities, sights (in Uluru) and many more.
